TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement business strategies to expand the company’s presence in the renewable energy sector in Arabian gulf particularly UAE.
- Engage with government agencies in the Arabian Gulf region, particularly in the UAE, to facilitate project approvals, compliance, and partnerships.
- Collaborate with Industrial and/or Oil and Gas companies to develop and execute innovative renewable energy solutions.
- Oversee commercial activities, including partnership negotiations, market analysis, and sales strategies.
- Provide technical channel and leadership to multi-disciplinary teams working on renewable energy projects.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory environments, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage complex assignments involving multiple stakeholders across different sectors.
EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years (in various roles as described)
- At least 5 years of practical experience in renewable energy engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development within the energy sector.
- Extensive experience dealing with government agencies in the Arabian Gulf region, particularly in the UAE.
- At least 3 years of commercial experience in the energy industry.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Excellent knowledge of renewable energy technologies, specifically green hydrogen.
- Proven track record in business development and strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and governmental processes, in the Gulf area.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team environment, dealing with international companies and investors.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Proven experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in Oil & Gas industry and Large manufacturing industries
- Knowledge on green hydrogen and its applications.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
