Main responsibilities:
- Gain strong understanding of the state of the art in green fuels – hydrogen, ammonia, methanol and other hydrogen derivatives – as well as its applications in the Spanish market
- Track, understand and gain expertise on current technical developments in the industry, including related legislation and technical standards, providing summaries and recommendations for power to gas and power to liquid applicable technologies along the value chain such as:
- Feedstock Sypply
- Production and Processing
- Storage and Compression
- Transport and Distribution
- Technical system design and optimization, from initial setup conception throughout the various engineering stages, targeting efficiency improvements of green fuels projects and engaging external engineering services if required
- Support the definition of the technological and engineering requirements for the projects
- Support on techno-economic studies and recommendations as required during all project development stages
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrable experience in the design of oil & gas projects in general and industrial power and gas production plants in particular
- Understanding of the Spanish engineering and technical requirements applicable to oil & gas production, storage and logistics
- Knowledge of process related standards
- Experience in process simulations
- Use of AutoCAD and MS programs
- Spanish and English proficiency both verbal and written
Desirable Skills:
- Understanding of the european regulatory framework related to the energy sector, particularly the development and construction of industrial chemical plants, including environmental and licensing requirements
- Experience in Hydrogen, Ammonia, methanol and/or hydrocracking
- Other language skills (Portuguese)
- GIS software knowledge
