Project Development Manager (Solar PV)

The Greenfield Team of Smartenergy Germany is going in its expansion phase. The current Team is on the successful path to Develop its first batch of renewable energy large scale projects. You will be supported by a large technical, legal team, local planning and permitting Manager and GIS specialist.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Originate, develop and monitor renewable energy projects and new opportunities
  • Acquisition of land plots suitable for the construction of PV projects
  • Develop and responsibly own project opportunities
  • Coordinate and implement and improve project development processes in an international and interdisciplinary team.
  • Supporting management in negotiations by preparing decision templates and reports
  • As a representative of Smartenergy, represent and negotiate the projects before authorities and other public bodies
  • Development and control of supporting  local marketing strategies.
  • Support the management team in negotiations, preparing investment memos & reports and conducting due diligence by ensuring projects meet financing and technical requirements
  • Select and manage local businesses to partner and consultants in order to deliver projects to Ready to Build (RTB) stage

YOUR PROFILE / REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent in German (ideally mother tongue)
  • Fluent in English (Company language)
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience Project Development of utility scale renewables

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Microsoft package user
  • Apple user

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Desire to build an innovative Solar PV business
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines and budgets
