Since 2010, Dii Desert Energy has been hosting annual Leadership Summits that have played a crucial role in paving the way for climate-neutral, cost-effective, and secure energy sourced from the MENA Deserts. This year, the event is returning to Dubai to highlight the region’s prominent position as a burgeoning ‘Green Powerhouse,’ and thus, a significant contributor to the global reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
With the theme ‘TIME FOR CLIMATE ACTION – From Announcements to Tangible Projects,’ this edition is scheduled before COP28 and includes a prominent pre-COP reception where discussions will revolve around strategies and initiatives aimed at expediting the transition toward ‘zero harmful emissions.’ All the while, the focus remains on achieving energy security and cost-efficiency within the MENA region and beyond.
The Summit brings together partners along the emission-free value chain, spearheaded by those actively involved in project execution, including key developers, utilities, and investors, with a shared objective of kickstarting the establishment of a market for zero-emission energy.
